Ohio anglers of Lake Erie will see a change in the 2020 Walleye limits. The Ohio Wildlife Council (OWC) approved an increase the limits for walleye in Lake Erie and the Maumee River starting March 2020. The previous seasons saw a daily limit of just 4 walleye per angler until may first. This was in efforts to help the fish during their common spawning time. These efforts seem to have helped as Lake Erie has seen a some very positive hatch results in the past 5 years along with a near record hatch in 2019.
Angles in all states can expect some very good results for the foreseeable future for walleye fishing Lake Erie.
